Selection Recommendations:

1. Grade 2 vs. Grade 1 (TA1): Grade 2 offers higher strength and is preferred for structural applications. Grade 1 is softer with superior ductility, suitable for deep-drawn components requiring exceptional form-ability.

2. Grade 2 vs. Grade 5 (TC4): Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) is a titanium alloy with significantly higher strength than Grade 2. However, it offers slightly inferior corrosion resistance (especially stress corrosion resistance) and form-ability/weld-ability, along with higher cost. Unless extreme strength is required, Grade 2 typically provides a more economical corrosion-resistant solution.
