Product Description

Titanium Copper Metal Plate: High-Performance Materials for Demanding Industries

I. Product Introduction:

Titanium Copper Metal Plate is kind of homogeneous metal plate made by melting and alloying titanium and copper. So it is also a kind of high-performance and demanding materials for industries.

II. Advantages:

The core advantage lies in the combination of titanium's corrosion resistance and copper's electrical and thermal conductivity, making it suitable for applications demanding comprehensive performance.

So the advantages embody in the followings:

1. Composition and Structure: Titanium and copper atoms fuse uniformly without stratification. Titanium content typically ranges from 10% to 40% (common grades include Ti-Cu 2.5 and Ti-Cu 15), with the composition ratio determining performance emphasis.

2. Corrosion Resistance: Exhibits excellent corrosion resistance at titanium content ≥10%, withstanding freshwater, seawater, neutral salt solutions, and certain weak acids. Higher titanium content enhances corrosion resistance, though prolonged exposure to strong oxidizing acids should be avoided.

III. Core Characteristics

Composition and Structure: Titanium and copper atoms fuse uniformly without stratification. Titanium content typically ranges from 10% to 40% (common grades include Ti-Cu 2.5 and Ti-Cu 15), with the composition ratio determining performance emphasis.

Corrosion Resistance: Exhibits excellent corrosion resistance at titanium content ≥10%, withstanding freshwater, seawater, neutral salt solutions, and certain weak acids. Higher titanium content enhances corrosion resistance, though prolonged exposure to strong oxidizing acids should be avoided.

IV. Processing technology:

1. Melting: First, alloy raw materials are melted in a vacuum induction furnace, or alloy ingots are prepared using the vacuum self-consuming arc melting method. Multiple melts are required to ensure uniform composition;

2. Forging and shaping: At high temperatures, the ingots undergo forging processes such as upsetting and drawing to break down the coarse structure;

3. Rolling and finishing: After initial thickening through hot rolling, the dimensions and surface finish are controlled through cold rolling. During this process, annealing is needed to eliminate work hardening;

4. Subsequent treatments: Finally, through acid washing, precision cutting and other processes, some parts may also require ultrasonic testing to detect internal defects.
