Product Overview

Copper aluminum composite sheet is a high-performance bimetallic material formed by bonding a layer of high-conductivity copper to a lightweight aluminum substrate. It combines the excellent electrical and thermal properties of copper with the low density and cost-efficiency of aluminum. This composite structure is widely used in modern electrical engineering, power transmission, battery technology, electronics, and thermal systems.

We manufacture these sheets using explosion bonding technology, which produces a strong metallurgical bond between the copper and aluminum without melting or forming brittle intermetallic layers. The result is a durable, conductive, and formable material with reliable long-term performance.

Structure and Bonding

The copper aluminum composite sheet consists of

  • Copper Layer high-purity copper such as C1100 or T2

  • Aluminum Base industrial-grade aluminum such as AA1050 AA1060 or AA3003

The bonding interface is created through a high-energy explosion bonding process, ensuring atomic-level contact, no delamination, and excellent peel strength even after deep processing such as stamping or bending.
